Bedrooms & Accommodation
Most of our generous rooms feature large picture windows with far-reaching views across the Mawddach Estuary, the Cadair range of mountains and out to sea. All our rooms are ensuite, with new bathrooms installed for the 2010 season. We have 6 doubles and 2 twin rooms and several rooms have space for an additional Z-bed.
All rooms feature Freeview television and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers, luxury towels and complimentary shower gel and shampoo. A separate guest bathroom is available should you wish to indulge in a hot bath – help yourself from our collection of soothing foam baths.
Please note: All our bedrooms are on the first or second floor. There are 16 steps to the first floor and a further 15 to the second.
Pet Policy
We are a pet friendly establishment and welcome well-behaved, clean animals in certain rooms, (3, 5, and 7). Please do not book your pets into Bryn Melyn unless you are totally confident of their behaviour as there may be other animals staying. Pets are welcome in the conservatory and lounge but not the dining room. Please keep them under close control in all public areas and do not leave them unattended in your bedroom at any time. In order to minimise any smells we ask that you dry your pet if they get wet before bringing them into the house. Towels can be provided. Pets are welcome on the strict understanding that they are not allowed on chairs, beds or other furniture, even if you bring your own throws or blankets. Please bring a suitable pet basket.
First Floor
Room 3 - Dinas Oleu
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
An unusually-shaped room with a large sitting area. View across the estuary. Space for a pet basket.
Room 4 - Mochras
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
Our smallest room but very popular as it is filled with light due to the double-aspect windows. Panoramic view across the estuary to Cadair Idris.
Room 5 - Pont Scethin
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 2 x single
A twin room with space for a Z-bed or pet basket. Views across the estuary to Cadair Idris. Can be configured as a family room.
Room 6 - Abermaw
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
A well-proportioned room in the old part of the house. Big picture windows with views across the estuary and out to sea.
Room 7 - Moelfre
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
Our largest and most spacious room. Two full-height picture windows make the most of the stunning views across the estuary and down the coast. Plenty of space to sit, and ample room for up to two Z-beds and/or a pet basket. Can be configured as a family room.
Second Floor
Room 8 - Coed-y-Brenin
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 2 x twin
A spacious room with woodland views to the rear and a side window offering views to the summit of Cadair Idris.
Room 9 - Cregennan
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
Set within the eaves this characterful room has possibly the best views in the house. Worth the extra flight of stairs! Space for a Z-bed. Can be configured as a family room.
Room 10 - Cwm Nantcol
Sleeps: 2 Configuration: 1 x double
Double aspect windows, with far reaching views to the summit of Cadair Idris.
