Bed and Breakfast in the tranquil heart of Wales
Room 4
Most of our generous rooms feature large picture windows with far-reaching views across the Mawddach Estuary towards the Cadair range of mountains and out to sea. Since taking over Bryn Melyn in 2009 we have undertaken an extensive programme of refurbishment which has seen all of our rooms upgraded.

We were awarded 4 stars by Visit Wales in 2010 and have continued to add extra touches to the rooms each year, gaining Tripadvisor  ‘Certificates of Excellence’ annually since 2012. We have 6 doubles and 2 twin rooms, all with en-suite shower-rooms, and three rooms have space for an additional single bed, (please ask at time of booking for availability).

All rooms feature comfortable memory-foam mattresses, Freeview television and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms feature walk-in showers, luxury towels and complimentary toiletries. A separate guest bathroom is available should you wish to indulge in a hot bath – help yourself from our collection of soothing foam baths.

Please note: All our bedrooms are on the first or second floor. There are 16 steps to the first floor and a further 15 to the second.

First Floor

Room 3

Room 3 – Dinas Oleu

An unusually-shaped room with a large sitting area. View across the estuary. Space for a pet basket.

Room 4

Room 4 – Mochras

Our smallest room but very popular as it is filled with light due to the double-aspect windows. Panoramic view across the estuary to Cadair Idris. Ideal for a short stay or for single occupancy but a bit cramped for a week!

Room 5

Room 5 – Pont Scethin

A light-filled twin room with space for a pet basket. Panoramic views across the estuary to Cadair Idris. Can be configured with an additional single bed to create a triple room.

Room 6

Room 6 – Abermaw

A well-proportioned room in the old part of the house. Full height picture windows make the most of the spectacular views across the estuary and out to sea.

Room 7

Room 7 – Moelfre

Our largest and most spacious room. Full height picture windows make the most of the spectacular views across the estuary and down the coast. Plenty of space to sit, and ample room for an additional single bed and/or a pet basket.

Second Floor

Room 8

Room 8 – Coed-y-Brenin

A cozy but spacious twin room with woodland views to the rear and a side window offering views across our car park towards Cadair Idris.

Room 9

Room 9 – Cregennan

Set within the eaves this characterful room has possibly the best views in the house. On a clear day it is possible to see Pembrokeshire from the window – worth the extra flight of stairs! Space for an extra bed.

Room 10 2016 C lower res

Room 10 – Cwm Nantcol

Also set within the eaves this cozy room offers equally spectacular and far-reaching views. Double aspect windows make the most of the outlook.
